The monument to pilot, a member of occupied Leningrad defense and Soviet Union’s twice hero Nelson Stepanian was installed on February 6 2013 on the territory of Ulyanovsk higher civil aviation school. The opening of the monument was held as one of the events dedicated to 100 year anniversary of great pilot.
