The monument to outstanding Armenian composer and conductor Aram Khachaturian was opened in Moscow on October 31 2006. The authors of the project are sculptor Georgiy Frangulian and architect Igor Voskresenskiy. The monument represents the composer surrounded with various musical instruments. The monument is situated near the house where Khachaturian lived and composed and not far from Tchaikovsky Conservatory where the great musician studied and later taught.
