The church construction was started in 1998 by fundraising efforts of Arthur Martirossian and Municipality of Samara. The plan of the church was carried out by architect Vahan Karkarian and Vazgen Mkrtchian. The church was sanctified by Bishop Ezras Nersisyan on 16 November 2003.
