According to the existing sources the Surb Khach was built in about 1853. Earlier in the place of the church was a small chapel named as St. Mary. In the middle of XIX century the church construction was over and the church was consecrated according to all Armenian canons. In 1970 the Surb Khach was listed as a Bulgarian cultural monument.
