125 Dalewood Way, San Francisco, CA 94127, United States
Monument in the shape of a cross set on the highest geographical point of San Francisco - on the hill of Mount Davidson - and included in the list of attractions. Cross was erected in 1934 and dedicated to President Franklin Roosevelt. In the early 1990s, disputes arose because of the desire of a number of organizations and religious denominations to remove the cross. Then one day the local Armenian community gathered the necessary amount, and the city bought the area around the monument. And beneath the cross, with the consent of the citizens, there was a bronze memorial plaque in memory of the genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
