On initiative of catholicos Gregory (1584) and with financial support of several rich Armenians in 1885 the Armenian college “Collegio Armeno” was opened at the St. Nickolas church. The head of it is an Armenian priest. The number of students is about 20 – 25 who wear eastern style robes and tie it with red belts.
