The St. Hripsime Church in Wien was built in 1968 but the grand opening was held on December 12 in 1972. It is constructed according to all Armenian church canons. In 1981 Armenian writer Hovhannes Shiraz founded an Sunday school at the church. The church was sanctified by the former catholicos Vazgen I.
