The memorial was installed on initiative of Armenian community of Wales on November 2 2007. The opening of the Monument was held as a church service by the head of Armenian Apostolic Church’s British eparchy bishop Natan Hovhannisian. In 2008 the memorial was damaged by the vandals, but was recovered soon and now is open for visitors.
