Armenian Art Alive

At ImYerevan, we are always seeking new ways of invigorating Armenian culture. In our latest project, we selected 12 canonic portraits by Armenian painters in the 19th and 20th centuries. If you look closely, you'll notice each picture contains some movement, or some action. We have carefully and painstakingly modified each portrait, preserving its integrity while providing you with a unique aesthetic and hopefully, a new perspective on the art itself. Whether it's capturing Komitas's fingers lightly touching the keys of his chamber's piano the moment before his arrest by Turkish soldiers in Vardges Muradyan's "Komitas: The Last Night," or the animated waters in Hovhannes Ayvazovsky's "The Nineth Wave," we hope you enjoy our efforts to invigorate masterpieces with movement.

We recommend that you watch the video in HD quality widescreen mode, and please let us know what you think!
