Strada Alexei Mateevici, 11, Chisinău MD-2012, Moldova
The oldest tombstone dates back to the Armenian cemetery in Chisinau 1823. It covers an area of 10 hectares and for many years it was considered an open air museum. Many tombstones are of historical and cultural value. Buried here are well-known public figures, historians, translators, writers, composers and singers. Now the cemetery has been forgotten, and numerous graves of famous people are on the verge of extinction.
