The church was built in 1931 on land donated by philanthropist Armenak Ambartsumian. Building permit has been obtained by July 23, 1931-th. The architect of the church - Armen Aopyan. The first stone of 2 August 1931 laid the bishop Vramshapouh Kibaryan. The first priest - Barbel Atamian. Church tower crowned by an octagonal dome in the Armenian style.
