The Nubarian Library was established in 1928 by the founder of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), philanthropist and benefactor Boghos Nubar. It has a rich collection of 40,000 books, over half of which are in Armenian. It also houses 800,000 archival materials and about 280 19th century manuscripts. The Nubarian Library is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed on Wednesdays. Admission is free, except for access to the archives.
