Arthur Abraham, Stieglitz kick off press tour in Germany

Boxers Arthur Abraham and Robert Stieglitz kicked off the press tour for their March 1 fight in Germany on Wednesday.

The fight will be the third installment of their trilogy.

As has become customary in Abraham press conferences, the former world champion did not offer any outrageous commentary: "On March 1, I’m getting back my title belt. There’s nothing more to say. The talking is done.”

Stieglitz -- the current WBO super middleweight world champion -- said: “2013 was my year. I got back my “loaned” championship belt and twice successfully defended it. Now I want to successfully defend my title again. I will remain a world champion. I am really happy about being able to write boxing history. Three times against the same opponent in a world title fight – that has never happened before in Germany.”

Abraham (38-4, 28 KO’s), a former middleweight (160 pounds) and super middleweight (168 pounds) world champion, became the mandatory challenger for the super middleweight titlist Stieglitz (46-3, 26 KOs).

Abraham beat Stieglitz in August 2012 for the WBO super middleweight title, and lost a lopsided rematch in March 2013.

Since Abraham is the challenger, he will earn $783,750 for the fight. Stieglitz will earn $2,351,250.
