Chef Zakarian rings opening bell on Wall Street

Geoffrey Zakarian rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

The Food Network's winner of "The Next Iron Chef, Super Chefs" went to Wall Street in Manhattan's Financial District to celebrate his new role as Chair for the City Harvest Food Council.

The television personality was also joined by council members Marc Murphy, Chef Francois Payard, Danny Meyer and Terrance Brennan.

Earlier this month, Zakarian unveiled Ocean Blue, his second restaurant at sea on the Norwegian Getaway. He is also working on his second cookbook, which will be published by Clarkson Potter in Fall 2014.
