ANCA to conduct town hall meeting in Houston

The ANCA announced today that its next Town Hall meeting will take place on January 26th, 1:00PM, at Saint Kevork Armenian Church’s Tcholakian Hall, 3211 Synott Road, Houston, TX 77079.

“The 50 year old Armenian community in Houston houses an estimated 300 families which in the past have been quite active on issues pertaining to the Armenian Cause. I look forward to sharing with them our most recent developments, learning about issues affecting our community in Houston and collaborating with them in rebuilding our activists’ base in the region,” stated ANCA-WR Executive Director Elen Asatryan.

The ANCA-WR Town Hall series is an effort to reactivate and engage Armenian American communities throughout the Western United States. The meetings are led by ANCA-WR senior staff and Executive Board members, who provide attendees with an overview of the organization, its priorities, and recent developments effecting Armenian-Americans, Armenia and Artsakh. After the presentation, community members have an opportunity to ask questions, discuss issues of concern, make recommendations, and learn about ways to get involved with ANCA efforts locally.

“As the ANCA Houston Representative, I look forward to helping reactivate the ANCA here. We look forward to continuing the years of service that organization has promoted in and around Houston. We greatly appreciate the ANCA Western Region’s diligent work in getting all Armenian communities connected, and to get the Houston community involved to educate the local representatives whenever necessary through representation and education,” stated Vrouir Frankian of ANCA Houston.

The Houston Town Hall, which will be led by ANCA-WR Executive Director Elen Asatryan is preceded by those held in Seattle, WA, Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, Fresno, CA, San Francisco, CA, and Boise, Idaho.
