Alexandria Abramian joins The Hollywood Reporter

The Hollywood Reporter has appointed veteran home design editor Alexandria Abramian as the publication’s homes and lifestyle editor.

In her new role, Abramian will lead The Hollywood Reporter’s extensive coverage of Hollywood-related interior design, home lifestyle and real estate for all of the brand’s print and digital platforms. Abramian started Monday and will report to THR’s culture editor, Degen Pener.

“Alexandria is a well-respected name in the Los Angeles lifestyle world,” said Janice Min, THR’s editorial director. “We are very lucky to have her many years of experience as the guiding force behind THR’s voice in real estate and home design, areas of deep passion for much of our audience.”

“THR provides such a vital voice and window into everything Hollywood,” said Abramian. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to show The Hollywood Reporter’s audience a beautiful new window into the world of lifestyle design.”

One of Abramian’s first initiatives at THR will be the launch of a blog dedicated to home design and real estate, with a spotlight on the convergence of design and entertainment. As homes and lifestyle editor, Abramian will also oversee THR’s annual home design issue, which hits stands Oct. 23.

Abramian’s hire marks another step for THR’s ongoing coverage of home design and real estate. In addition to its annual home design issue, which names the “25 Most Influential Designers in L.A.,” the magazine regularly covers high-end home product, Hollywood set design and real estate news, with a focus on L.A.’s most desirable neighborhoods.

Abramian, who has been a journalist and magazine editor for the past 15 years, joins THR from OCHome, where she was editor-in-chief. She was editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury’s Angeleno magazine for five years before becoming the company’s founding editor of its Interiors publications, which launched in four U.S. cities. Abramian has contributed to the Los Angeles Times for more than a decade and has written hundreds of articles covering home design, architecture and real estate.
