Boxer David Lemieux wins 30th fight in Montreal

Canadian-Armenian boxer David Lemieux was victorious Saturday night in Montreal when he defeated Marcus Upshaw in a unanimous decision.

Lemieux, the 24 year-old vicious knockout artist, won by the scores of 80-71 on all three judges’ cards in the eight-round affair.

"Good fight to my opponent Upshaw who showed a lot of courage until the end of the fight and a good night of boxing to the fans," said Lemieux.

It was the middleweight prospect's fifth straight consecutive stoppage victory.

Lemieux improved his record to 30-2-1 with 28 KOs.

The fight was a featured attraction on Saturday's HBO-televised main event between WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson and Tavoris Cloud at Bell Centre in Montreal.
