Mayrig is the most popular Armenian restaurant in Beirut. It opened in 2003 in the trendy Gemmayzeh district. The restaurant is owned by the grandson and granddaughter of Manoushag, the famous Beirut chef of Armenian descent. The siblings collected their grandmother’s recipes and opened a restaurant where all meals are prepared exclusively by Manucheg’s guidelines. Notable items on the menu include the lentil salad, labneh and kufta. Mayrig is one of Charles Aznavour’s favorite restaurants.
