Tumo Center for Creative Technologies is launching a summer camp open to all young people between the ages of 12 and 18. Camp Tumo is an intense experience combining learning and fun at the intersection of art and technology. It will take place in Yerevan in four one-week sessions. Campers can come for just one week starting on the 1st, 8th, 15th or 22nd of July, or they can combine two, three and even four weeks in a row for an in-depth learning adventure. The summer camp’s morning program is made up of concentrated versions of the courses available throughout the year to the members of the Tumo. Campers will come away with their own hands-on creative projects by combining one of four focus areas or two specialty courses with a supporting technical or artistic skill. During the second half of the day, campers have an opportunity to go on specially designed guided tours of Yerevan and surrounding areas where they will have an opportunity to gather material for their creative technology projects. They can also choose to participate in sporting events in the adjacent Tumanyan Park, also managed by Tumo. On Saturdays, everyone can join optional sightseeing field trips to some of Armenia’s most spectacular destinations.
