Arthur Abraham wins, becomes mandatory for Stieglitz's WBO belt

Arthur Abraham defeated Italy’s Giovanni De Carolis (20-5, 10 KO’s) by a lopsided 12 round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the EWE-Arena, Oldenburg, Niedersachsen, Germany.

Abraham (38-4, 28 KO’s), a former middleweight (160 pounds) and super middleweight (168 pounds) world champion, won by the scores of 120-108, 119-109 and 119-109.

De Carolis record dropped to 20-5, 10 KO’s.

With the win, Abraham now has become the mandatory challenger for super middleweight titlist Robert Stieglitz (46-3, 26 KOs).

Abraham beat Stieglitz in August 2012 for the WBO super middleweight title, and lost a lopsided rematch earlier this March.
