TUMO partners with US Embassy for film showcase

Tumo Center for Creative Technologies is partnering with the US Embassy in Armenia to bring the 2013 American Documentary Film Showcase to Armenia.

A series of award-winning contemporary documentaries will be screened for audiences at Tumo from the end of October to the middle of November.

The overarching theme of this year's festival is "youth empowerment," with documentaries exploring such topics as inner-city transformation, art, education, and climate change.

During the course of the festival, visiting documentarians Jay Rosenblatt, Katie Dellamaggiore and Nelson Dellamaggiore will lead special three-day intensive filmmaking workshops with three groups of Tumo students.

All promotional material for the festival was designed and prepared by Tumo students who participated in a special workshop held earlier this month.
