Exhibit in Strasbourg

The exhibit “Armenia: The Mysteries of Stones” opened in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in May, with the presence of the CoE Secretary General, the President of PACE, and representatives of high-ranking delegations. “Armenia is a country of mountains, so it is natural that for us stone is the first artistic means of expression, which has turned into a language of art. For centuries, stone served as a tool for Armenian people, helping them express their creativity. Throughout history, it evolved into an integral part of the cultural heritage of the world. We are happy that stone exhibits will be showcased in the framework of Armenia’s chairmanship in the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers,” Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian stated in his remarks at the official opening of the exhibition. Armenia assumed the presidency of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers and will preside for the next six months.
