An All-Armenian Marathon

The tenth annual telethon that took place on November 22nd in Los Angeles broke the record and exceeded the previously collected amount by almost two millions. The telethon kept the passionate audience at the television screen for twelve hours. Levon Hayrapetyan – a businessman from Moscow donated $2,5 million (the greatest in number recorded donation), next comes Vahe Karapetyan ($1million). Luiz Simon-Manukyan, Hrayr Hovnanyan, and Varaz Samvelyan donated $500 000 each. Donations from Armenia amounted to $1million 200 thousand, Artsakh – $1million. All of the money raised is going to finance the development of the village regions of Armenia and Artsakh.
